Terms of Service

The ground rules for using Hot Flasher.

Last updated: September 15, 2026

Agreeing to these terms

Hot Flasher (hotflasher.com, the Hot Flasher podcast, and our newsletter) is operated by Mimiloo, LLC, a California limited liability company. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Mimiloo, LLC, and “you” means anyone using the site or listening to the podcast. By using Hot Flasher you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Hot Flasher is not medical advice

This is the most important thing on this page. Everything we publish is general information and education about menopause. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified clinician who knows your history.

Reading this site, listening to an episode, or contacting us does not create a doctor-patient relationship, and nobody here is acting as your clinician. Always talk to your own doctor before starting, stopping, or changing any treatment, medication, or supplement. Never delay seeking medical care or disregard advice from your clinician because of something you read or heard here. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

Menopause care is individual. Research changes, guidance changes, and what is right for one person can be wrong for another. Content is accurate to the best of our knowledge on the date it is published and we do not promise to keep every page current.

How our content is made

We want you to know exactly what you are listening to. Daily podcast episodes are hosted by Nykki, a synthetic voice, and are produced with the help of AI tools working from published sources that we cite in the show notes. Nykki is not a doctor and is not a real person. Our written guides are researched and edited by a human and carry a named byline.

We research from peer-reviewed literature and organisations such as The Menopause Society, we cite our sources so you can check them, and we use careful language rather than making prescriptive claims. AI tools can still get things wrong. If you spot an error, please tell us at hello@hotflasher.com and we will look at it.

Using the site

Hot Flasher is free and open. You are welcome to read it, listen to it, quote it with credit, and share links to it anywhere you like. You agree not to use the site in a way that breaks the law, harms other people, interferes with how the site runs, or attempts to gain unauthorised access to it.

Automated bulk scraping of the site or the audio archive for republication or for training commercial models is not permitted without our written permission. Normal podcast apps, feed readers, and search engine crawlers are of course welcome.

Our content

The written content, audio, artwork, branding, and the Hot Flasher name are owned by Mimiloo, LLC or used with permission. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back. Republishing whole guides or episodes, or using our name or artwork in a way that suggests we endorse something, needs our permission first. The research and source material we cite belongs to whoever published it.

Stories and other things you send us

When you send us a story through the Share Your Story form, or write to us, you keep ownership of what you wrote. You give us permission to use it on the podcast, on the site, in the newsletter, and in related social posts, kept anonymous unless you tell us otherwise. We will contact you before featuring your story. We may edit for length and clarity, and we may decline to use a submission for any reason. You can ask us to stop using your story at any time and we will remove it from anything we still control.

Please only send us things that are yours to send, and please do not send us other people's medical details or anything confidential.

Links, partners, and other sites

We link to clinics, telehealth services, research, and products we think are worth knowing about. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for what they do or say, and a link is not a guarantee. Where a link is a paid or commissioned relationship, we disclose it on the page where it appears. Any transaction you enter into with a third party is between you and them.

No warranty

Hot Flasher is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components, or that the information on it is complete or current.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Mimiloo, LLC and anyone working with it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of your use of Hot Flasher or your reliance on anything published here. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mimiloo, LLC from claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or anything you submit to us.

Changes and availability

We may change, pause, or discontinue any part of Hot Flasher at any time, including these terms. When we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the change.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to Hot Flasher or these terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Marin County, California, and you agree to that jurisdiction and venue. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
